Site Facilities

All of Norilsk Nickel Australia's operations are within Western Australia. Here's some information on the facilities at our Lake Johnston site.

Lake Johnston

The Windy Hill Camp is located within a proposed nature reserve containing rare flora (the Cherry-fruited Mallee) and we are careful to ensure our activities have no negative impact.

Each person has dedicated accommodation. Each of these rooms has 16 TV Channels available including eight Foxtel channels, ABC, GWN, WIN, SBS and an in-house movie channel. The camp has a well-equipped dining room, and in the bar you will find a pool table, television/DVD and arcade games.

For the health and sports conscious there is a heated indoor pool, an undercover general purpose sporting facility and a gymnasium. If you like your recreation a little more laid back there is an internet café, a book exchange and a recreation room that has a pool table, table tennis, air-hockey, table soccer and TV.

In the interests of health there is no smoking in any of the buildings. Windy Hill Camp has a First Aid post which is supported by the Medical Centre a couple of kilometres away at Lake Johnston Operations.
